EVITA
In 2022, the MIK launched the EVITA project, which is an easy-to-use e-learning platform that supports Hungarian families, mothers and young people, who are about to start a family.
EVITA provides an easily accessible online course for young couples who are about to start a family, and for families who have difficulty accessing appropriate knowledge in pediatrics, mental health, gynecology, and special education, and therefore are afraid of having children. Besides, the epidemic situation has significantly transformed the appropriate patient information, thereby increasing the demand for online patient education. Our target group is primarily women between the ages of 21 and 45, their partners and families who are determined to start a family or are considering having more children. Our project can provide useful support starting from the period preceding pregnancy up until primary school.
Users can gain horizontal knowledge through written and video contents supplied by the EVITA platform. All of these services are complemented by group and individual support and consulting services of our partners. The fundamentals of the platform are provided by the HSUP (Hungarian Startup University) system, and its content has been developed together with a professional network of partners. The topics are divided into modules in gynecology, mental health, pediatrics and special education, which can be continuously expanded. Registration for EVITA platform is free for everyone, users can unlock additional contents by going through the course materials one at a time, and that way we can track how many of our users have gone through the course. The HSUP platform is not only the foundation of the course, but can also be used as an effective communication channel between corporate partners, professionals and registered families. We have built a search engine into the platform that can inform users about local events and programs based on their location. The uniqueness of the EVITA lies in the fact that it focuses specifically on pregnancy and its process, which means that it guides the user through the training materials consistently, and they can turn to our professional partners immediately after reading the various topics. Our vision is to turn our project into a digitized and scalable family support program that will assist Hungarian families not only within the borders of Hungary, but throughout the Carpathian Basin and beyond, by providing them relevant knowledge and support.
